D^3 – Daddy/Daughter Day-Out

Charlotte and I had a wonderful Daddy/Daughter Day-out last weekend.

We went out to lunch and then to see the Nutcracker.  We had a great time!

With her being away at school, these D^3 are more rare and makes me enjoy them even more.

(Unfortunately, the hallway was crowded  and this was the best picture we could get after the show.)

Family update….

Well, it’s been a little over a week since we helped get Charlotte moved into college. She’s having a great time and is enjoying spending time with all of her new friends. Classes begin today. We can’t wait to hear how it went.

Mason and Morgan are missing her greatly. Luckily, between e-mail, phone calls, text messages, and Skype video calls, she’s keeping in touch with them (and us).

Mason started school today. He was so excited. There are plenty of neighborhood kids in his classes, so he’ll have many familiar faces as well as the new friends he’ll make.

Morgan is running around getting into, and asking about, everything….just like a two year old should. She’s really missing Charlotte and often cries when we have to remind her that Charlotte lives away at school. The Skype video calls helps her though, so we’re thankful for that.

I’ve posted plenty of recent pictures on my Facebook profile, so check those out if you get a chance.

Pushing my luck….

While holding Morgan the other day:

Brent: Holding up one finger and said, “Give me one kiss.”
Morgan: *kiss*

Brent: Holding up two fingers and said, “Give me two kisses.”
Morgan: *kiss* *kiss*

Brent: Holding up three fingers and said, “Give me three kisses.”
Morgan: Leaned back, looked at me, and, in the cutest of voices, said “No.”

…..hopefully this attitude will still be with her once she hits high school.

Charlotte graduates!

It was a great ceremony!

Her tassels and pin are for Honor Society, National Honor Society, and National Art Honor Society.
